ERDNT: Registry backup
You always hear always backup your registry but nobody tells you how to do it. Erdnt is one way and it saved me countless of times.Just run it as administrator and it will backup your registries every time you boot your computer. It can even restore registries for off line drives by just editing the inf file where it points to your windows directory.
Ex. Set your broken windows drive as a slave to another computer. On the erdnt backup folder of the slave drive (located by default in windows\erdnt\autobackup) folder choose what backup you want to use . Edit the inf file pointing to the windows directory by using notepad
from c:\windows change to newdrive:\Windows\ then save
run it as administrator and you can restore your registry good as new or as good as what ever backup you used.
